Lee Sun-bin Refutes Wellmade's Statement, "Unclear Accounting and Disturbance in Business Activity"

Actress Lee Sun-bin made a statement about her legal war with former management company Wellmade Entertainment.

Her legal representative refuted on the 21st through official reports that, "Wellmade Star ENT made an official statement urging Lee Sun-bin to correct violations of the exclusive contract and abide by it, but the content is not true".

He continued to say, "The company has not provided any support for her independent entertainment activities and admitted to terminating her contract. Nevertheless, the company's request for the settlement data from September 2018 to the present, citing actor Lee Sun-bin's violation of exclusive contract, seems only to have an unfair purpose to discredit actor Lee Sun-bin".

He also explained that the case in which Lee Sun-bin sued the company's CEO is currently under investigation with an appeal from the prosecution.

Hello, this is Lee Sun-bin's legal representative.

Wellmade Star ENT (President Seo Sang-wook) made an official statement on the 21st of May urging Lee Sun-bin to correct violations of the exclusive contract and abide by it, but the content is not true and the following is her official statement.

Actor Lee Sun-bin has requested the company to provide objective settlement data and evidence by sending a content verification on the company's non-transparent handling of expenses on the 31st of August in 2018. However, the company effectively rejected actor Lee Sun-bin's request.

Under the exclusive contract, the company should exercise its management authority to maximize actress Lee Sun-bin's talent and skills and explain the details and schedule of the contract in advance in consideration of her physical and mental preparations in exercising her right to act as an agent for entertainment activities. However, when actor Lee Sun-bin's manager pointed out problems with the company's unclear settlement, accounting and casting without prior explanation, the company unilaterally took steps such as demoting the manager's position and demoting his salary, which also interfered with actor Lee Sun-bin's entertainment activities.

In response, actor Lee Sun-bin requested correction to the company on August 31st, 2018 in accordance with Article 7 of the exclusive contract, but the company did not make any corrections within the 14-day grace period. In response, actor Lee Sun-bin notified the company of the termination of the exclusive contract on September 21st, 2018. Furthermore, the CEO of the company filed a criminal complaint against actor Lee Sun-bin and others on charges of forgery of the exclusive contract and during the investigation, the CEO of the company stated, "We have not signed an exclusive contract with actor Lee Sun-bin", and has taken a contradictory attitude to the current official position. In the end, the case in which the company's CEO sued actor Lee Sun-bin for forgery of private documents was finally confirmed by actor Lee Sun-bin's innocence.

Nevertheless, the company's request for settlement data from around September 2018 to the present, citing actor Lee Sun-bin's violation of exclusive contract, seems only to have an unfair purpose to discredit actor Lee Sun-bin. In addition, the case of actor Lee Sun-bin's complaint against the company's CEO is part of the company's breach of duty and is currently under investigation through a prosecution appeal, so it cannot be said that the contract has already been terminated, regardless of whether the company's CEO is guilty or not, in light of the fact that the company's CEO has already filed a criminal complaint against actor Lee Sun-bin.
