Lee won prizes in 2002 Korean Animation Awards as well as the Grand Prix for Feature Films in 2002 Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France.

The director said, "It is indeed significant for us to open this animation in Japan. I have had affection for Studio Ghibli's animations even from the past".

Currently, the next film of Lee Seong--gang is being promoted at Open the link , the Japanese website.

The opening is more meaningful since this year is celebrating 'Korea-Japan Friendship Year 2005'.

On July 22, the movie had a special screening organized by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs.
