[Lily's Take] Lee Seung-gi and BoA Argue Over the Topic of Maturity

Actor Lee Seung-gi and BoA held a debate over the topic of one's maturity in the showbiz.

On March 1^st, Lee Seung-gi visited the legendary K-pop singer and an actress BoA in the variety show "Master in the House" and discussed many topics regarding showbiz industry ranging from survival to discipline. On one topic though, the two had an opposing opinions, which was to determine if one's maturity is needed for the associates of showbiz.

BoA started the discussion as she said, "I'm currently reading a book called, "It's Okay to Not Become an Adult So Fast". I think especially for jobs like we have, we shouldn't be mature so early on. I feel like our job loses its creativity once we become mature".

Lee Seung-gi shared his side of opinion as he said, "I think what's important here is not immaturity but innocence. To operate as a valid participant of the society, some level of maturity is needed. If not, I think accidents are bound to happen without it".

Then, BoA gave further explanation as she shared, "When I talk about not maturing means that we stop challenging ourselves. Like a child, we need to have a desire to try this and that, pushing the limits".

At this arguments regarding the topic of maturity, the netizens are siding heavily on Lee Seung-gi, though they mentioned that they understand where BoA's idea is coming from. Though creativity is important for the artists participating in the entertainment industry, netizens agreed that there have been too many accidents and scandals happening recently because of the irresponsible actions coming from immature ideas.
