In the upcoming movie "The Princess and the Matchmaker" scheduled to air in February 2018, Shim Eun-kyung took on the role of Princess Song-hwa while Lee Seung-gi played the role of the Divinity Scientist Seo Do-yoon.
As we wait for the movie's release, Shim Eun-kyung held a short interview regarding her experience in filming "The Princess and the Matchmaker".
She commented, "I'm a worrywart, so I always tend to get really nervous around the release of my work. It's a time of reflection and there's always some regret when I wish I had done better. However, the judges of my work are the audience and I'm always giving my best. It took a long time for this movie to release, so I hope the fans can excuse us on that. This character is quite different from the one in my other movie "Psychokinesis". I'm in my mid-twenties now, but you will be able to see my early-twenties self in the movie. If I have to give one word to describe the movie, it would be 'cute.'"
Regarding her working with her senior actor Lee Seung-gi, she said, "Of course, Lee Seung-gi is a gentleman with excellent manners so I was able to film the movie comfortably. I thought that he was an actor with special passion for acting. At the time of filming, we discussed the subject of acting a lot. That is when I realized why he was praised so highly by everyone. It was inspiring for me to work with him. I've learned so many lessons as I worked alongside him. He is so amazingly talented".
