"The Story of Lady Ok" is a work that contains the fierce survival and success of a female slave during the Joseon Dynasty, and depicts the real story of a woman whose name, status, and even her husband are fake.

Lim Ji-yeon was offered the role of Goo-deok, a real slave born to slave parents. Goo-deok decides to become a foster daughter in her family after meeting a new good girl after running away due to a problem with her wicked owner. However, when she suddenly dies, Goo-deok gives up her name and lived a second life as the little lady.

Lim Ji-yeon's third attempt at historical dramas is "The Story of Lady Ok". Earlier, Lim Ji-yeon showed historical drama acting through the SBS drama "The Royal Gambler" in 2016, following the movie "The Treacherous" in 2015. However, it is the first time that Lim Ji-yeon leads the flow of the drama alone and plays the leading female lead.

Lim Ji-yeon will appear in ENA's "Lies Hidden in My Garden" which will premiere on June 19th after the success of Netflix's "The Glory", and SBS's "The Killing Vote" which is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
