Korea saw the coldest weather so far this fall on Friday, a day known as Ipdong or the beginning of winter in the lunar calendar.

Morning lows dropped to 1 degree Celsius in Seoul and below zero in some regions like Cheongchong and Gyeongsang Provinces, where the mercury plunged by over 10 degrees from the previous day.
