"Miss Hammurabi" Holds Its First Script Reading

"Miss Hammurabi" had its first script reading.

"Miss Hammurabi" is a court drama about Park-Cha Oh-reum (Go Ara), a passionate judge who dreams of a court that is equally forceful to those who are strong and is equally lenient to those who are weak, an elite judge named Im Ba-reun (Kim Myung-soo) who puts principles before anything else, and chief judge Han Se-sang (Sung Dong-il) who knows the reality of the world. The drama revolves around trivial matters that happen every day.

Director Kwak Jeong-hwan, scripwriter Moon Yoo-suk, actors Go Ara, Kim Myung-soo, Sung Dong-il, Lee Elijah, Kim Young-ok, Lee Won-jong, Ko In-beom, Park Soon-chun, Lee Cheol-min, and others gathered for the reading.

Moon Yoo-suk made a speech prior to the reading and said the writers have done an excellent job.

Despite the fact that it was the first script reading, the cast performed excellently and showed outstanding teamwork. The characters were well-highlighted and everyone gathered had a good time reading, laughing and getting into the story.

Go Ara is starring as Park-Cha Oh-reum, a righteous judge who tells off people old enough to be her parents. In an emotional scene, she even put on a good show of crying.

Kim Myung-soo, is Im Ba-reun, a cynical character with deep thoughts and clumsy in a way.

Sung Dong-il is Han Se-sang, a realist judge who holds down the balance between the other two judges. During the reading, the three of them connected well and induced laughter from the entire room.

Their performance on this day increased expectations for the drama and Ryu Deok-hwan mesmerized everyone with his perfected character, the highest ranking judge, Jung Bo-wang. Lee Elijah plays Lee Do-yeon, a stenographer.

Kim Young-ok is Park-cha Oh-reum's grandmother the oldest member of the market group. Lee Won-jong is Bae Gon-dae and Lee Cheol-min is Maeng Sa-sung. Ko In-beom is Im Ba-reun's father. Additional cast members include Ahn Nae-sang, Lee Tae-sung, Cha Soo-yeon, Kim Hong-pa, Cha Soon-bae, Lee Kan-hee, and more.

After the script reading, the director expressed his satisfaction.

Meanwhile, "Miss Hammurabi" is being released in May.
