Mwave MEET&GREET Provides Unique Opportunities for Global Fans to Interact Online with Their Favorite K-Pop Stars

Seoul, Korea (March 5, 2014) - Providing unique opportunities for global fans to interact online in real-time with their favorite K-Pop stars, CJ E&M has launched regularly scheduled MEET&GREET events on its popular K-Pop site Mwave [http://www.mwave.me/]. During sessions, fan can hear from their favorite stars, obtain autographed CDs and also purchase K-Pop related merchandise. Since launching in October 2013, more than 1,000,000 fans have participated in the sessions. Upcoming this month, MEET&GREET will hold a special gift promotion for female fans in celebration of International Women's Day, as well as session with K-Pop boy group BTOB.

 Comprising 90% of K-Pop's fanbase, female fans occupy a special place in the hearts of K-Pop stars. In honor of International Woman's Day (March 8), male idols Yoo Seung Woo, BTOB, and AlphaBAT join with Mwave to gift GLOSSYBOX Special Edition sets to their TOP5 supporters. Also in March, boy group BTOB will appear on MEET&GREET on Thursday, the 13th, at 8:30 P.M. (KST), giving fans the opportunity to obtain autographed copies of the group's 4th mini-album Beep Beep. Stars scheduled to appear on upcoming MEET&GREET sessions include Sun-mi, BTOB, AlphaBAT, Orange Caramel, and TOPPDOGG.

 During MEET&GREET sessions, live commentators are on hand to provide interpretation of artist dialogue in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Fans can also visit Mwave Shop on the Mwave site to purchase diverse K-Pop related merchandise including albums, stuffed animals, T-shirts, calendars, and more. With 2PM's Taecyon as the first special guest, MEET&GREET launched in October 2013, with fans purchasing the artist's personally-designed OKCAT goods including USBs, stuffed animals, and other accessories from Mwave Shop in massive numbers. FT Island and U-Kiss were among the K-Pop stars to also host sessions in 2013. In total in 2013, around 25,000 items were sold in four months with an estimated 900,000 fans participating.

 In the new year, MEET&GREET has gotten off to a roaring start. On February 90,000 fans tuned in for Got7's appearance, with the session grossing the highest album sales to-date on Mwave Shop. On February 7, miss A's Jia spent meaningful time with fans, as well as selling T-shirts she personally designed. During Rainbow Blaxx' Kim Jae-kyung's session, the artist's handwritten calligraphy cards were a popular hit.
