New Service Offers Safe Way for Women in Seoul to Send Parcels

Women who don't feel safe opening their doors to deliverymen can now send parcels using a secure locker in public places in Seoul. Previously, they were only available for picking them up.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Monday, the new service is available at 131 out of 232 spots where the lockers are installed, mostly in residential areas with a large number of one-person households.

The city government first introduced the parcel service in July 2013 to prevent crimes by perpetrators disguised as deliverymen targeting women living alone.
