Newest Pics of Nam Joo-hyuk Released for "Bride of the Water God 2017"

The newest still cuts of the highly anticipated drama, "Bride of the Water God 2017" were released and a lot of people are freaking out about it. By freaking out, I mean, not in a positive way.

Having one of the most popular cartoon in South Korea turned into a drama caused many fans worry from the very beginning when the drama was announced. Some people worried that the drama will ruin the storyline by changing it, some people worried about the crappy special effects they may put in. There were quite a few who weren't satisfied with the casting also.

Now that the newest still cuts are released, the commenting window is exploding with all types of criticism towards the concept of the Water God.

"Why is his clothing look like a fish scales?"

"Okay, I'm curious now. Is the Bride of the Water God Nam Joo-hyuk and not Shin Se-kyung? Because oh my gosh, look at all of his make-up. It's too much!"

"Just because he is a Water God, doesn't mean you should shower him with everything BLUE!"

"He is supposed to be oriental, don't put some cheap looking Egyptian costume on him!"

Looking at the original image, the drama version is quite different for sure.

There are couple of people criticizing the actor saying that it should have been actor Lee Joon-gi who take the role of the Water God.

Well, all in all, you can't ever please everyone when you start a project and this drama certainly won't please everyone. I must say that I'm a bit disappointed on the choice of artwork team but I'm still hoping that the drama will be good! Perhaps with a different approach, the story will be as good as, if not even better than the original version. You never know.
