[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Happier Times in Latest "The Most Beautiful Goodbye" Teaser

They say you don't know what you have until it's gone. While not always entirely true, an approaching end really is a time of reevaluation and appreciation. The latest teaser for Noh Hee-kyeong's "The Most Beautiful Goodbye" shows us the heroine with her family in what seems like the most common and mundane of tasks: making kimchi together. Yet such a moment can make the happiest of memories.

Once more, the teaser delivers quite an emotional punch, because everything we see is framed by our advance knowledge that this wonderfully depicted woman will soon become a fond memory herself. I am really impressed by how simple, yet effective the teasers are and this gives me hope for the drama.

I recall trying to watch "The Last Blossom", the film based on the same work, but I was put off by the extended focus on the heroine's physical suffering. Sensationalist portrayal of pain when it comes to stories dealing with realistic problems and illnesses is a pet peeve of mine, so my hope lies in the fact that the drama is written by the original creator herself.

I am more eager to reacquaint myself with Noh Hee-kyeong's work with each video of this drama and I hope that the work carries the same warm and natural feeling of the teasers.
