[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Hundred Million Stars from the Sky" Releases Foreboding First Teaser

Well, this is certainly looking dire. The upcoming Korean drama remake for Japanese series "One Million Stars Falling from the Sky" has released its first, grim teaser, which feels a bit like opening credits. It also looks about as dark as I would expect, going from the descriptions I'm finding. If you're looking for happy, cutesy romances, you might want to make a speedy exit now.

"Hundred Million Stars from the Sky" is a mystery melodrama about a dangerous man called a monster, Kim Moo-yeong (Seo In-guk), a woman with a scar, Yoo Jin-kang (Jung So-min), and her brother, Yoo Jin-gook (Park Sung-woong), who is against Moo-yeong. As you can imagine, brother dearest will not be too happy about the romance forming between the two.

Without revealing anything crucial, I can say that there is one specific word I have been spoiled with regarding the original story, which was the reason for me not checking the drama out earlier. Seeing this teaser and learning about the genre, however, have turned me around. Please give me a mystery about what sounds like a messed up situation.

I never really warmed up to the younger leads in terms of acting, at least not for a heavy story such as this, but I'm open to seeing more. Park Sung-woong is always top quality, and although my brush with PD Yoo Je-won has been unpleasant, and writer Song Hye-jin-I is an unknown factor for me, I'm intrigued enough to keep an eye on this. "Hundred Million Stars from the Sky" will premiere on tvN on September 26th, at 21:30 KST.
