[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Jo Jae-yun Becomes a Police Chief for "Save Me 2"

Jo Jae-yun is back shortly after "SKY Castle", and he brings his recent reality show experience with him. We finally have some basic information on his character for "Save Me 2", which will be a different role to his Jo Wan-tae from the first season, "Save Me".

"Save Me 2" continues along the same vein as the first season, following a village falling victim to a cult. Jo Jae-yun will be playing police chief Sin Pil-goo, a man who has gone through some very tough times since the passing of his father. Pil-goo will be connected to Kim  Min-cheol (Um Tae-goo) and Choi  Kyeong-seok (Cheon Ho-jin).

The actor's recent work in reality tv show "Urban Cops" is expected to come in handy, since he has been experiencing the lives and emotions of police officers as a member of the intelligence team at the Seoul Yongsan Police Station. Now that's what I call a solid crash course at a role. I hope the character is written with enough nuance to make good use of it.

When asked about his role in January, after the confirmation news hit, Jo Jae-yun was careful with his words, teasing us by saying that his character this time around could be a bad guy or a good guy, without sharing the juicier details. We still don't know what our cop dearest stands for, so I'm excited to find out. "Save Me 2" will be premiering in May on OCN.
