Following the success of underdog hit "Laughter in Waikiki", jTBC is gearing up for a second season, and actress Kang Han-na has been offered the lead. There is not a lot of information out on "Laughter in Waikiki 2", but it will kick into production soon, with a release date in the first half of next year.
According to most reports, Kang Han-na ("Familiar Wife", "Just Between Lovers", "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo") is positively considering the offer, while another version is that this is close to a done deal, with only the finalizing of the details with the production left. Either way, it's definitely looking good for this partnership.
"Laughter in Waikiki" is a drama I originally wanted to check out, but never got around to. I've seen the outpouring of love from my personal contacts and the Korean drama fandom at large, and I have been reading the best of things about it. Perhaps it will be worth a check before the second season comes out. Another one for my ever-growing to-watch list.
