[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Meet Cute and Marriage in New Teaser and Stills for "My Husband Oh Jak-doo"

A hardworking PD marrying a mountain man due to pressing circumstances is one heck of an ice-breaker for introducing a contract marriage drama, which is a genre that divides folks by default. The good thing about "My Husband Oh Jak-doo" is that the two people meet-marrying are equal outcasts about to embark on a weird and romantic journey.

I've been wondering why heroine Han Seung-joo (UEE) would marry a mountain man if status is what she is after, but the drama has revealed a very different reason behind her decision. Despite the "famously single" woman raising quite a few eyebrows with this sudden decision, it turns out that Seung-joo needs the marriage front when she visits her home in the countryside. Do we have a controlling or dying parent whose thirst for marriage needs to be clenched?
The series has released stills of the two leads before and during the pretend marriage, as well as some of husband dearest, Oh Jak-doo. Kim Kang-woo has stated that one of the key elements of his character is how he struggles with modern civilization after meeting Seung-joo. The actor added that he hopes the series will bring laughter and healing to viewers.
The teaser itself further builds on the meet cute between the two protagonists, who truly do seem to come from different worlds. Seung-joo is a struggling PD who lives for the ratings, and Jak-doo is just living his peaceful life. UEE and Kim Kang-woo look absolutely adorable together, and my drama wishlist just got insanely busy.
