[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Park Yong-woo Talks About His Casting and Role in "Priest"

"Priest" has released new stills of Park Yong-woo, along with a few words from the actor on his work and role choices. Following his return to full feature drama after 2012 series "My Love, Butterfly Lady", Park Yong-woo, who has predominately been a film actor for many years, gives us a look into what we can expect of his exorcist character.

On his return to Dramaland, the actor said "I am excited and happy to meet you again through a good work and a charming character". He then moved on to his reason for choosing this role, commenting "The script for "Priest" attracted me with its interesting developments, and its unique premise of an exorcist collaborating with a doctor. Its well-placed humor and enjoyable approach to exorcism were refreshing". Leave it to OCN to make exorcisms 'enjoyable'.

Park Yong-woo also spoke about his character and his personality traits, saying "In addition to being a professional exorcist priest, Moon Ki-seon has a variety of charms. He is a multi-faceted character who is athletic and has a good sense of humor". Given his job description, I'd say a fit body and a good sense of humor are necessary for survival, so perhaps our dear senior priest can survive this series.

The production is very happy to have Park Yong-woo on board, emphasizing how his acting skills and ability to become one with his character greatly improve the drama, and expressing confidence in "Priest" showing us a new type of charismatic side to the actor. I've only experienced Park Yong-woo's work through his films, so I'm definitely looking forward to this performance. "Priest" will premiere on November 24th, on OCN.
