[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Shin Dong-wook and Kwon Yuri Lead "Jang Geum, Oh My Grandma"

Nothing weighs heavier than family pressure, except for having generations of an iconic figure's fame on your back. The hilariously titled "Jang Geum, Oh My Grandma" explores the idea of how the titular Dae Jang Geum's descendants are living in the present day.

Actors Shin Dong-wook and Kwon Yuri have already confirmed their participation as leading man and woman. Shin Dong-wook will be playing the family's top salesperson, Han San-hae, while Kwon Yuri will be playing the sales team's new employee, Bok Seung-ah. Directing is PD Seon Hye-yoon of "Borg Mom", and the drama is reportedly in the casting process, with a late September release date on MBC in mind.

The drama's title instantly reeled me in with its cheeky imagery, and I hope that we get a fun exploration of people trying to have a normal life with monumental expectations breathing down their neck. May Dae Jang Geum's watchful eye be merciful.
