[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Shin Hye-sun and Yang Se-jong Courted for "Thirty But Seventeen"

2018/03/23 | 2777 views | Permalink

You know a production is eager to get the casting process going when the casting news gets more exposure than the premise itself, and this is the case with upcoming drama "Thirty But Seventeen", which is currently trying to sign Shin Hye-sun and Yang Se-jong up for the leading roles.

"Thirty But Seventeen" is about a genius violinist named Woo Seo-ri, who ends up in an accident that leads to a coma at age 17. Seo-ri regains consciousness 13 years later, at age 30. Production-wise, the drama is going to be by writer Jo Seong-hee of "She Was Pretty", and we also have word from the actors, who have stated through officials that they are reviewing their respective offers.

The drama is currently looking at a release in July, following "Wok of Love" on SBS. The actors being courted are promising, and the premise of a woman out of touch and out of her time is intriguing. I haven't heard the best things about the writer, but here's hoping, as usual. We'll probably be seeing more news on this very soon, so I'll get back to this when we have more information.
