We have some new "Children of a Lesser God" stills released of Kim Ok-bin and Kang Ji-hwan in their respective characters, and the glimpse we get into very different methods and privileges further cements how unlikely a duo this appears to be. We all know such characters will eventually become best partners, however, so I look forward to their clashing and bonding.
Kang Ji-hwan's stills as Cheon Jae-in are all about how he goes from a well-groomed genius to a homeless man, but this isn't exactly an enticing mystery viewers are dying to unravel. It looks like our arrogant know-it-all loves his undercover work, although a genius should know he still looks too neat for the job. Knowing Kang Ji-hwan's style of comedy, I expect a fun mayhem.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Kim Ok-bin's Kim Dan is an empathetic person who approaches people with honesty and great care. She is also no genius and so I assume that she will not be getting the special treatment an expert will receive from the force. Dan's reality includes the tougher side of police work, including the physically challenging and dangerous suspect suppression we see in her stills.
Frankly, I just live for the moment when our role-playing genius will have to acknowledge Dan's gift, as everything he knew about the world comes crashing down in front of his eyes like a priceless vase. I also want to see how they will both eventually hit it off as best partners buddies. I'll prepare my finger-hearts.
