[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "The Item" Releases Stills of Ju Ji-hoon, Jin Se-yeon and Kim Kang-woo

After the cool second teaser for "The Item", my itch for new content is met with some new stills for the protagonists and the antagonist of the drama. The production has released stills of Ju Ji-hoon, Jin Se-yeon and Kim Kang-woo in the three pivotal roles surrounding these supernatural objects.

Back when the character information was first released, we found out about Kang Gon's (Ju Ji-hoon) niece, Da-in. The second teaser shows us the reason behind the danger she is put in, and it also shows us Gon's motivation. He clearly loves her very much, and what is stronger than wanting to protect a loved one?

As skilled of a prosecutor as he may be, he is up against a monster. This is where Shin So-yeong (Jin Se-yeon) comes in. This talented and focused criminal profiler is bold and determined, but I wonder how she will react to the supernatural side of things. The teaser is encouraging, as it has her admit that "There are a lot of things about this case that are difficult to explain or hypothesize on".

So-yeong better be as good as she sounds, because Jo Se-hwang (Kim Kang-woo) looks tricky. He's also the character I am most concerned about. Creating a truly scary villain is hard, and many a Dramaland one ends up being cartoonish. Is there more to him than narcissism and a lust for power? I hope the creators deliver. "The Item" will premiere on MBC in February.
