[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Wok of Love" Brings Its Foodie Love Triangle to Life in New Posters

Beloved actors, food and romance sounds about right in terms of the medicine we could all use sometimes, and "Wok of Love" (also known as "Greasy Melo") is going all out in teasing us with the aforementioned elements. Its love triangle game is strong, and as much as I dislike the trope, I can't help but appreciate the parts that form it here.

The drama previously released couple posters for Jung Ryeo-won with her two beaux. Lee Junho's star chef takes an overeager puppy approach, stating "I wanted to do this. To make you everything you want to eat!", while Jang Hyuk's macho chef flaunts his noodle skills, saying "Just wait for 3 minutes!"

The newly released jjajangmyeon and main posters continue the streak of bold statements, lovely colors and entertaining designs. The bowl one reads "Don't look at me on an empty stomach", which is as unorthodox an indication of caring as they come. The main poster delivers the final spoonful of romance, stating "A love story hotter than a burning wok and boiling oil".

This series has been so extra in its promotion so far, and I'm highly amused by it. If the love triangle is going to be as colorful and cheerful as this, I may just take a little peek at this. We need more happy happy rom-coms without serial killers and all manner of trauma. Let's just eat, love and eat with loved ones. "Wok of Love" premieres on Monday, on SBS.
