[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Yoo In-na Courted for Drama Comeback in "Hitting on the Blind Boss"

Yoo In-na may be returning to Dramaland two years after her work in "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God", and it is the regrettably titled drama "Hitting on the Blind Boss" which has offered its heroine to the actress. The series is about a man suffering from prosopagnosia, otherwise known as face blindness.

The story is about a boss named Dominic, who has the aforementioned impairment in his ability to recognize faces following an assault, and his romance with secretary Jeong Gal-hee, who pretends to be a famous group's heiress called Veronica Park. Gal-hee will be working toward discovering the identity of the person who attacked her boss, while also fighting against her own fake identity as a love rival. I suppose Dominic has trouble telling voices apart as well.

I'm not sure what to make of this so far. Dramaland and disability rarely go well together, and with this premise and title, I'm cringing quite hard at the possibilities. Potential trampling of consent aside, "Hitting on the Blind Boss" sounds like a typical "rom-com with crime" that we're so used to, so it should appeal to many.

The drama is written by Kim Ah-jeong ("Three Color Fantasy - Queen of the Ring", "Divorce Lawyer in Love"), and directed by either Lee Eun-jin or Lee Eun-jin-I. I can't verify which one at this point. It is currently looking into a timeslot for the second half of this year on KBS 2TV.
