Another fine day dawns in Dramaland when one reads news of such a potential casting. Park Sung-woong and Choi Jin-hyuk are officially the big names on the table for OCN's upcoming drama "Rugal", and both actors are currently considering their respective offers.
Carrying the same title as the webtoon it's based on, "Rugal" is a human action hero drama about a former elite police officer who ends up losing not only his beloved wife, but also his eyes, and is accused of being a murderer. The drama follows his fight against criminal organizations after he obtains artificial eyes with special abilities crafted by the biotechnology organization "Rugal".
There's a lot to unpack here, but a disabled hero gaining transplants with superhuman abilities and going on a criminal cleansing spree sounds about as badass as they come. While I am cautiously excited due to the likelihood of this being a gimmick for another copy/paste tragic vengeful protagonist, I'm ready to give this hero and his sci-feyes a chance.
