Dong Wha Pharma, one of the movie's major sponsors, distributed free Saeng Saeng Ton energy drinks to bus travelers going back to their ancestral hometowns for the holidays. The activity took place on Sunday, 22 January when most people were expected to travel home. The drinks were distributed on a first-come first-serve basis at the Dong Seoul Bus Terminal toll gate.
Saeng Saeng Ton, a sweet and tangy energy drink that comes in 100ml and 180 ml bottles, contains taurin, liquid fructose, citrate, pineapple essence, Vitamin C, and is perfect to relieve stress and fatigue of the travelers.
Not only did the participants run for a cause, but each one also received a "Run to the Dream" bracelet and a free movie ticket. Those who were able to finish a full marathon (42.195 km) got a pair of Nike sneakers. Proceeds of the event will be given to children who aspire to be marathoners via Good Neighbors, a Seoul-based international NGO that focuses on "well being of all people, especially children, and community development".
"Pacemaker", a touching film that stars Kim Myung-min in the title role opened in Korean theaters in 18 January.
