She has grabbed the spotlight with her good looks and fashion sense since she started working as a weather girl, and is now one of the most sought-after TV personalities as she appears on six programs on terrestrial and cable channels.

She is also trying her hand at acting by appearing on the MBC sitcom "Standby". "I'm still not familiar with the world of acting. I'm trying to show another aspect of my talents, which has been hidden until now, and let viewers see a different side of my personality. I don't want to restrict myself to being a weather girl or TV presenter", said Park.

"I always loved being on stage, even when I was in fashion shows at university. I felt back then that I might have what it takes to work in a broadcasting company", said Park, who is a graduate of fashion design at Konkuk University.

Park started working as a mobile weather forecaster for a Japanese company in 2005. She gained 10 months of experience there before joining MBC in 2005.

"I happily told people the weather for seven years until February of this year, by which point I thought I'd taken that as far as it could go, so I decided to go freelance", she said. "I needed to stretch myself by entering a different field".

She was keen to stress that she's more than just a pretty face. "I don't want to draw people's attention just because of looks or body. Rather, I'd like to prove that I'm a talented individual who has many strings to her bow", said Park. "I still have many things to learn [about acting]. I know there are going to be some critics, but I hope people will give me a chance to prove myself".
