Park Sol-mi joins ranks of top hallyu stars

Actress Park Sol-mi made a surprise visit to Japan on Aug. 28 to attend the heavyweight title match of the 2005 Pride Grand Prix, which was held at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

According to Park's agency on Aug. 29, the actress was invited to the competition as a VIP by its organizers. Park's popularity has soared in Japan recently for her roles in the series "Winter Sonata" and All In.

Park is currently staying in Gwangju as the spokesperson for the Gwangju International Film Festival, which will last through Sept. 4. She is also scheduled to give interviews to various Japanese media organizations until Aug. 31. "
