Shin Sung-rok plays Seo Yi-do, a world-renowned genius fashion designer who suffers from 52 kinds of phobias and 35 kinds of allergies, but thinks of it as a punishment of a jealous God for challenging the divine realm beyond the human category. The creditable actor, Shin Sung-rok, who puts his own color into every character he plays will prove his potential once again in "Perfume".
Shin Sung-rok's character doesn't lose style even when he is sleeping. Seo Yi-do wakes up from a nightmare, but like the world-leading fashion designer he is, he is wearing a grey tone pair of pajamas with a night cap. He is sitting up in bed in cold sweat and not being able to calm down from the nightmare. In the following picture, he is dressed in beige with a resolute look on his face, which contrasts from Seo Yi-do in bed.
The hotel scene was taken in a hotel in Yeongdeungpo on the 17th of April. Shin Sung-rok appeared in matching pajamas and greeted every single staff and crew on set. After rehearsing the scenes and the costumes, Shin Sung-rok turned himself into Seo Yi-do and engaged highly into his character.
After the first take, Shin Sung-rok said, "Seo Yi-do has his ups and downs so he'll be fun to watch. I think you can look forward to the drama and not regret it. I am excited about the drama, because there are many things I haven't done before".
Meanwhile, "Perfume" begins on the 3rd of June.
"Perfume" is directed by Kim Sang-hwi, written by Choi Hyun-ok-I, and features Shin Sung-rok, Go Won-hee, Cha Ye-ryun, Kim Min-kyu, Hyejeong, Yeon Min-ji. Broadcasting information in Korea: 2019/06/03~Upcoming, Mon, Tue on KBS.
