"Pride and Prejudice" in the sole lead

2014/11/24 | 929 views | Permalink | Source

Mondays and Tuesdays have solidly become "Pride and Prejudice" days.

According to Nielsen Korea, the eighth episode of the MBC drama "Pride and Prejudice" rated 11.3%.

This is 0.6% more than the previous episode and puts "Pride and Prejudice" in the lead beyond all other dramas.

The nineteenth episode of the SBS drama "Secret Door" rated 5.5%. This is 0.1% lesser than the previous episode and the KBS 2TV drama "Tomorrow's Cantabile" rated 4.9%. This is 1.1% lower than last week.

"Pride and Prejudice" was declared unmatchable to the other dramas even before the start. However, the results were completely twisted and despite the fancy cast, "Secret Door" and "Tomorrow's Cantabile" failed to connect with the viewers due to their difficult storyline.

All there's left to do is to analyze the success of "Pride and Prejudice" and the reasons for the failure of the others.
