The distributors for "Punch" said, "The movie has gathered 1.75 million admissions before the 1st of November and is looking forward to hitting 2 million soon, as its sales have been going only up for three straight weeks".

"Punch" is about the mentoring of timid Wan-deuk (Yoo Ah-in), who's turned his back on the world, and nosy teacher Dong-joo (Kim Yun-seok), who rebels against the world. People of all ages have been watching this movie, making it the top box office hit for 2 weeks in a row and setting a record for October admissions, the so called movie off-season.

Movie officials say, "According to the Korean Films Council's total statistics, "Punch" has taken over Max Movie, Interpark, Nate and other important movie tickets sites, even taking over CGV and Lotte Cinemas. This is the result of beating movies like "Couples" and "Mr. Idol" even before they've come out".

"Despite the fact that this is the off-season for movies, the second week sold more than the first and ticketing rates are only getting higher with time".
