[Ratings] Nielsen Korea Is Back and Providing Ratings

2019/04/15 | 331 views | Permalink | Source

Ratings agency Nielsen Korea will announce viewing rates for the past four days.

According to Nielsen, "Viewing data is now back to normal and data can be shared starting the 16th. In the morning, the ratings can be seen through the Arianna System and later reports will be delivered by email".

Nielsen Korea hasn't been announcing ratings since teh 13th for those shows aired on the 12th. Therefore there has been a lot of discomfort in the broadcasting industry because the course of ratings for several dramas and TV shows such as the SBS drama "The Fiery Priest", KBS 2TV "Mother of Mine" and tvN "Spain Boarding House" can't be read.

About the cause of delay, Nielsen said, "There has been an error with the communications network". Apparently, during the process of collecting viewing records, the wire line failed, which failed to distribute the ratings because it did not meet the minimum collection panel household percentage for rating calculations. "Details can only be told after we confirm thorough checks with the communications network", added Nielsen.
