Samsung in 55th Place in World's Top 100 Brands

Samsung is the 55th most valuable global brand in the world.
That's according to the annual BrandZ study by market-research agency Millward Brown on Tuesday.
It's up 12 rankings from last year as the value of Samsung rose by 16 percent over the past year to 14 billion U.S. dollars.
At the top of the list was Apple - maintaining its top spot as the world's most valuable brand for a second consecutive year with a brand value of about 83 billion dollars.
Seven out of the top ten brands were technology-related firms... including IBM, which came in second place. Google came in third.
The company that saw the biggest rise in the top 100 was Facebook, with a 74 percent increase in brand value.
The social networking site settled in the19th place.
