'Seminar for Digital Sound Source and Activation of Sound Businesses of Asia's Culture-Oriented City', hosted by Asia's Culture-Oriented City of Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (Minister: In-Chon Yu) and managed by Gwangju Information Cultural Industry Agency, is held at 3:00 pm on 30th in Kim Dae-Jung Convention Center of Gwangju.

This seminar is for deducing strategies as a core content of Asia's culture-oriented city, collection of Asian cultural resources of Asian Culture Complex Information Center, activation of contents R&D, and making guaranty of copyright and musical festival by a step-by-step process.

On the day, about 100 participants from the government, district self-government, universities, and musical industries will be attended. Five sessions of presentations and discussions by Korean specialists about sound source industry, digital sound source, music festivals, and activation of music industry will be made.

This seminar will be started with a presentation of outline from Man-Jae Lee, an ETRI scholar (Cultural Technology R&D production director of Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism). After the presentation, Yang-Gi O (a professor of Architecture School of Mokpo University) will present 'Plans for Asian Culture Complex Information Center's Soundscape Design and Sound Contents Production Development'

Also presentations such as 'Industrialization of Asia's Digital Music Source' from Sang-Hwa Choi (a professor of Korean Music School of Jungang University), 'Forecasting of Musical Industries and Strategies of Digital Contents' from Dong-Chun Jo (a manager of CJ Media Mnet), and 'Successful Strategies for Music Festival of Asia's Culture-Oriented City' from Myeong-Guk Gye (Executive Office of Jarasum International Jazz Festival) will be made through this event.

At the end, a discussion will be conducted by Jin-Yong Park (a professor of Practical Music of Kyunggi University) and Yeong-Muk Oh (a representative of ANT Sound) who is a district music specialist.
