The music group Shinhwa will hold a fan meeting combined with birthday parties for its members on Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Bucheon Indoor Stadium ahead of the release of its eighth album.

Over 6,000 fans from all over the country are expected to attend the event, entitled "Birthday Party in Shinhwa Forest". The group's fans organized the meeting at their own initiative to congratulate each of the members on their birthdays and finally spend some quality time with the entire group.

Each of the group's members has recently had their hands full with solo activities. Attesting to the popularity of the Shinhwa members are the impressive events and gifts that their fans have prepared for them so far.

To congratulate each member on his birthday, Shinhwa's fans made each member's name the most searched-for item on portal Internet sites, and on Shin Hye-sung's birthday organized a benefit event in Jongmyo Park in Seoul to provide some 500 elderly people with free lunches, as Shin was busy in Japan after the release of his first solo album.

Andy's fans, meanwhile, attended an SBS concert hosted by Andy on his birthday and presented some 200 production crew members with sandwiches and traditional snacks in a bid to make the day more meaningful.

Shinhwa members, for their part, expressed their gratitude to their fans for their love and impressive presents, and said they hoped the upcoming fan meeting would bring them closer to each other.

While all the members of the group are scheduled to participate in the event, Eric Mun, who was recently hit by a car during the filming of a drama, will decide later whether he has recovered enough to attend the meeting.
