According to Billboard's Boxcore chart on October 9, the second leg of the SMTOWN tour, which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 4, came in tenth by attracting 15,015 fans and raking in over one million dollars in ticket sales.

The concert beat out that of international singer Shakira's, who placed in 16th, teen sensation Justin Bieber in 24th place, legendary singers Sting and Guns & Roses in 20th and 27th place, respectively.

An official from SM explained that SM's artists are the first Asian performers to have placed in the top 10 of the Boxcore charts and while many of the singers who are in the top nine have performed more than twice, the SM singers held their show for one night.

The Boxcore chart takes into account the overall popularity of the overseas performances over the past three months, ticket sales and the size of audience recorded by performance promoters around the world.

The SMTOWN LIVE '10 World Tour features a number of performances by SM artists such as Girls' Generation, Super Junior, SHINee, U-Know U-Know and BoA. The tour first kicked off in Seoul in late August and continued to the U.S., China and will open in Japan early next year.
