Actor Son Byung-ho has joined the upcoming JTBC drama "Cruel Palace - War of Flowers".

Son Byung-ho takes on the role of Lee Hyeong-ik who stands on the side of Jo (Kim Hyun-joo).

Lee Hyeong-ik is Jo's mother Han-ok's (Jung Sun-kyung) secret boyfriend who is friendly enough with the family as he'd been in their house since the old days. He's not exactly close with Jo but whenever she asks him for help he helps her as much as he can.

When Jo sits by the king and steals all of his attention, she suggests Lee Hyeong-ik as a medical advisor from her hometown. Son Byung-ho goes into the palace and lands himself in a big role as Jo's advisor. He takes sides with her to harden her position inside the palace.

Son Byung-ho said, "I am happy to work with producer Noh Jong-chan from "Queen Insoo" once again. I shall do my best to make my character fulfill its role".

Meanwhile, "Cruel Palace - War of Flowers" is a collaboration between Jeong Ha-yeon and Noh Jong-chan and it will be broadcasted on the 23rd of March.
