Earlier in the day, a media outlet reported that the joint investigation team of the Military Manpower Administration of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office is investigating the circumstances in which actor Song Duk-ho requested and paid off military service broker A.

In the summer of July and August last year, Song Duk-ho found out about a blog run by broker A through a portal site search. At first, he inquired about how to postpone military service, but A recommended that he receive an exemption instead of postponement, and the broker reportedly asked Song Duk-ho for money. Since then, Song Duk-ho has been exempted from military service because he acted as if he had epilepsy as instructed by A and was diagnosed.

In response, Song Duk-ho's agency admitted wrongdoing on the afternoon of the 31st, saying, "Song Duk-ho was judged as a fourth-class social service soldier in an unfair way, which not his initial intention, after receiving counseling through a blog run by A".

"Song Duk-ho is currently under police investigation, and he will faithfully take part in the remaining prosecution investigations. Also, we sincerely apologize to many people who been disappointed by this incident. We are sorry for causing trouble".

Meanwhile, Song Duk-ho, who debuted in 2018 with director Lee Chang-dong's movie "Burning", appeared in Netflix's original series "D.P" (2021), as well as dramas and movies large and small. It has been confirmed that he was filming a drama until recently.

Song Duk-ho was cast and filming in tvN's new drama "Delightfully Deceitful", but the incident confirmed his dropout. Song Duk-ho's replacement is still undecided.
