Shooting on the movie, tentatively titled "Space Sweepers", began on Wednesday in a studio in Daejeon. It took director Jo Sung-hee 10 years to write the script.

Since his debut in 2009, Jo has directed "End of Animal" in 2011, "A Werewolf Boy" in 2012, and "Phantom Detective" in 2016. Song also starred in "A Werewolf Boy" when he was just a budding star and the film drew some 7 million viewers.

"Space Sweepers" has a budget of W20 billion and boasts a star-studded cast that also includes Kim Tae-ri, Yoo Hae-jin, Jin Sun-kyu and the U.K'.s Richard Armitage (US$1=W1,170).
