The secretary of ruling Nationalist Party, Baek Do-hyeon (Jang Hyun-sung) nominated Jin Sang-pilm instead of his junior politician, Choi In-gyeong (Song Yoon-ah), as a candidate for the upcoming special election.

As Jin Sang-pil witnessed that his co-workers were suffering due to the pressure from the company, he singed a negotiation with the company, allowing the illegally fired employees come back to work. The reason behind how he could negotiate with the company was because Jin Sang-pil had accepted Baek Do-hyeon's offer.

The news that Jin Sang-pil would run as a candidate for the ruling party made the fired employees quiver with indignation as it was understood Jin Sang-pil had betrayed them. Jin Sang-pil after all volunteered to become a betrayer to protect his co-workers and family.
