On the seventh episode of KBS 2TV drama "Brain", it was revealed that Kim Sang-cheol (Jung Jin-young) had something to do with the death of Lee Kang-hoon's (Shin Ha-kyun) father.

Finding out that he had failed to be appointed assistant professor at the Hyeseong University, Kang-hoon went to the school holding the papers he had given to Ko Jae-hak (Lee Sung-min). He learnt that Sang-cheol had worked in the Euisin University Hospital as full time in the past.

Thinking something isn't right, he went back to the hospital and tried to find out about Sang-cheol but there were no records of Euisin University in his resume and Kang-hoon thought it was very weird.

Kang-hoon then fell asleep and dreamt about the past. In the dream, his father had passed away while being operated on by Professor Kim Sin-woo from Euisin University, which aroused suspicion in the viewers.

At the same time, Sang-cheol also had a nightmare. Thinking of his patients first, he went home and fell asleep after writing a letter to his patient. However, he thought about a scene that resembled an operating room which caused him to be surprised and left the house as soon as possible.

As hints are thrown about to say that the two are connected somehow by an unpleasant coincidence, what will happen to them in the future has the viewers craving for the next episode to come.
