Yoo Jeong apologized for not having been able to be in contact. Hong Seol said, "As a result, that is an accident so we should be together like we used to".
Yoo Jeong said, "How long can you accept me for? You can't hold everything on by yourself. Let's break up". Hong Seol started to cry.
"I didn't understand why you were so hurt and tired all the time. We should be together when I can love you again. I can't do that because looking at you is hard for me".
Baek In-ho also left Hong Seol. He stood in front of the piano once again. He resolved things with Yoo Jeong and participated in a piano competition. His sister Baek In-ha (Lee Sung-kyung) was there in the audience.
Baek In-ha also apologized to Hong Seol. She said, "Yoo Jeong is flying off in the 3PM flight today. I wanted to tell you". Hong Seol wanted hold Yoo Jeong back but she stayed and cried instead of going to the airport. Yoo Jeong left Korea.
Three years later, Hong Seol graduated from university and got a normal job in a normal company. She sent emails to Yoo Jeong every now and then but he didn't even read them.
Baek In-ha found his inner peace and started seeing Ha Jae-woo (Oh Hee-joon). He got into a music university and played the piano all he wanted. Jang Bo-ra (Park Min-ji) and Kwon Eun-taek (Nam Joo-hyuk) also became a couple.
Hong Seol was walking when she saw someone like Yoo Jeong and turned her head. She told herself, "He might need more time", at the same time Yoo Jeong read the email that Hong Seol sent him. They ended with an open ending.
"Cheese in the Trap" is a romantic drama about a perfect guy and a girl who sees through him.
