Kim Seong-ryong (Namkoong Min) got his revenge of chairman Park Hyeon-do (Park Young-gyu) and resigned. He then started working at Bae Deok-po's (Kim Eung-soo) nightclub. One year later, prosecutor Park Yong-taek came to see him.

Kim Seong-ryong claimed he had a clean plate but Park Yong-taek said, "I haven't come to arrest you. I need someone to sneak into a company and get information from them".

Kim Seong-ryong asked why he was being asked and Park Yong-taek said, "I wish it was you who took the case. Lawyer Seo Yool (Lee Junho) and prosecutor Han Dong-hoon recommended you. Please".

However, Kim Seong-ryong refused the offer and Park Yong-taek tried to convince him. Kim Seong-ryong then gave him the sly smile and the episode ended.

Lee Si-eon also made a special appearance in the SBS drama "Defendant" as someone who stands in Park Jeong-woo's (Ji Sung) way. In his short appearance, he said the line, "Who are you?" and the drama ended with Park Jeong-woo saying, "I am Park Jeong-woo from the Seoul Central Court".
