Different families came together to create new families and everyone had a happy ending.
On the final episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Five Children", Ahn Mi-jeong (So Yoo-jin) underwent surgery because of gastric problems in her stomach. Her family stood by her side. Lee Sang-tae (Ahn Jae-wook) didn't leave the surgery room until she was done and his parents-in-law Jang Min-ho (Choi Jung-woo) and Park Ok-soon (Song Ok-sook) helped her recover. She was better in no time.
Kim Tae-min (An Woo-yeon) and Jang Jin-joo (Im Soo-hyang) overcame their parents' opposition and stayed together. Even after Jang Jin-joo told him goodbye, he continued to exercise with her family. In the end, he asked her for one more chance and they got back together. They stayed loyal to their jobs and agreed to prepare for marriage over the next 3 years. Later, Tae-min's parents started to like Jang Jin-joo.
Lee Yeon-tae (Shin Hye-sun) and Kim Sang-min (Sung Hoon) got married. They started off on the wrong foot, but they evolved into likeness for each other and fell in love. This 'romantic' couple showed what a happy ending really is.
Lee Ho-tae (Shim Hyung-tak) made a good drama and was signed on a contract. However, he still wanted to make movies and decided to finish what he started. Later, he was awarded the Best Director's Award at the Asian Film Festival and gave the trophy to his wife Mo Soon-yeong (Shim Yi-young).
Lee Sang-tae and Ahn Mi-jeong who were getting used to the fact of 're-marriage', became a true famiy. Jang Min-ho gave lots of love to his niece and nephews, including the new ones. The children were happy.
"Five Children" was supposed to be about happy families and that's what it was all about. It stuck to its story-line and earned the trusts of the viewers until the end without leaving its path.
