On the twelfth episode of the KBS 2TV drama" "Inspiring Generation", Kim Ok-ryeon (Jin Se-yeon) told Sin Jeong-tae (Kim Hyun-joong) about all that she'd been through for the past 5 years.

Ok-ryeon was walking with Jeong-tae when she saw policemen on the street and ran to hide themselves. The policemen started beating up anyone who was seen on the streets.

When they caught their breath, Ok-ryeon asked Jeong-tae, "Why didn't you call anyone? I heard you contacted no one after you left? Was my mother, Mal-sook and everyone else nothing to you? My mother died while we were crossing the river after you were gone and so did the person who helped me so I buried them with my own hands".

"I went back looking for you but I couldn't find you anywhere. The Japanese had taken over and I had no one to welcome me or shelter me. I stayed there for six months, though; just in case you came back".

Jeong-tae said he was sorry and she hid her true feelings about him saying, "I resent you as much as I missed you so don't expect too much from me".
