On the first episode of SBS 'Punch - Drama', which aired on December 15th, Kim Ah-joong became to find out her ex-husband, Jeong-hwan (Kim Rae-won) had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and gave up on testifying at public hearing.

While Ha-kyeong was investigating a case of sudden unintended acceleration, she discovered that Lee Tae-seop, who is Lee Tae-joon's brother, the current nominee for the head of prosecutors' office, was involved in the accident. But she had to stop the investigation due to the underhand interference by her ex-husband, Jeong-hwan. This made her decide to testify at the public hearing about Lee Tae-joon.

Jeong-hwan filed a child custody suit against her as a tactic to stop her from testifying. While Ha-kyeong was appalled, she received a phone call from her ex-sister-in-law.

The sister-in-law said, "They say my brother has a brain tumor. But it's too late they cannot do anything about it. He will not be able to survive longer than 6 months. What should I do now? I am so sorry for him". Jeong-hwan was not aware of his cancer yet.

Although Ha-kyeong was divorced with him, she could not help it giving up on testifying at the public hearing because she still loved him. She finally cancelled her attendance at the hearing by stating, "Prosecutors cannot make an official statement about a case still being investigated".

It creates curiosity in viewers about what Ha-kyeong's decision will bring up to Jeong-hwan's future.
