On the sixteenth episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Gunman in Joseon", Yoon-kang (Lee Joon-gi) disguised himself as Queen Myeongseong's (Ha Ji-eun) guard to stop Ja Yeong's (Choi Jong-won) rebellion.

Yoon-kang tried to stop the rebellion by delivering a compact under joint signatures to Kojong (Lee Min-woo-I) but he was too late. Ja-yeong had made contact with regent Heungseong and settled a deal to protect the Kojong. However, he said he would get rid of the queen by saying, "That's the only way the people will lower their anger. Calm the public first". Ja-yeong was plotting to drive out the Min's and having the Kim's gain authority once again.

Yoon-kang stepped forward to stop that. Yoon-kang became the Queen's guard and led her to Min Yeong-wi's house in safety.

Won-sin (Yu Oh-seong) stepped forward. Ja Yeong ordered him to murder the Queen and said, "Don't forget, if you just finish this work, you'll become the King of the Joseon merchants". For Won-sin, it was a risk for his future. Won-sin showed confidence and said he would win. Then he tracked down Min Yeong-wi and where the Queen was staying.

However, there was something Won-sin failed to notice. Yoon-kang appeared in front of Ja-yeong when Won-sin had left. He asked why Jin-han (Choi Jae-sung) was murdered and framed for conspiracy. Ja-yeong said, "It was for the country. To keep order". Ja-yeong offered to clear Jin-han's name if Yoon-kang ignored his mistake. Yoon-kang said, "I won't be played by you anymore. I will judge you", and then he pointed a gun at Ja-yeong.
