The original title was "Desire". Initially, it was written by writer Park Gye-hyung and directed by Kwak Gi-won, but he dropped out due to disagreement with the production company. He was replaced by writer Han Hee-jeong and director Lee Chul.

Writer Park Gye-hyung told a media outlet, "Lee Ji-hoon is the main character and appealed to the production company that he wasn't appearing enough in the drama", and added, "Not only me but half of the staff have been replaced".

In response, Victory Content said, "Lee Ji-hoon and the replacement of staff are not related. Request for correction is a common discussion between production companies, directors and writers. It is regrettable that such a gossip was made up to make it look like the actor was power tripping over".
