"Strawberry Milk" to "Thorn", the reason behind it...

2014/04/02 | 1124 views | Permalink | Source

"Strawberry Milk" has now become "Thorn". The title has changed right before the movie release.

Apparently the movie suits the title "Thorn" more than "Strawberry Milk". There is nothing sweet and soft about the movie like strawberry milk. Only sharpness like a thorn exists.

Director Kim Tae-gyoon says, "We prepared for the movie under the title "Strawberry Milk" but it felt vague. "Thorn" sounds sharper and deeper. It represents something difficult".

The movie is about something sharp and deep. It's about a man refusing a high school student's obsession for him. The title now seems appropriate.

The title might have changed but it's still strawberry milk. Yeong-eun (Jo Bo-ah) drinks strawberry milk in the movie. She only drinks what she's into at the moment. It shows that she's an obsessive character. The previous title was meant for Yeong-eun.

"Thorn" is a suspense mellow about the cruel obsession and love between an ordinary man and a bold student. To be released on the 10th.
