CNN's "Talk Asia" will focus on the star idol group Super Junior on its program to be aired on December 8 at 9:30pm. The anchor of "Talk Asia", Anna Coren, interviewed two members of Super Junior -- Leeteuk and Choi Si-won -- and visited Super Junior's concert hall to find out the secret of their huge popularity and their strategy for advancing into the world music industry.
Leeteuk and Choi Si-won revealed the secret of how they could gain huge popularity overseas in spite of the language barrier, saying, "We have tried to sing songs that have relatively easy rhythm for fans to sing along with even though they cannot understand the lyrics. Also, we have received songs not only from Korean music composers but also from composers overseas such as Norway, Sweden, and Germany to keep our own music".
In addition, they talked about their appreciation for the rapidly developing internet environment that enables Hallyu and K-POP to rapidly spread into the world, their recent foray into social media such as Twitter and Facebook that they have been utilizing as contact points with fans overseas, and their responsibilities as Hallyu stars.
