Swimsuit Trends Favor More Flesh for Men, Less for Women

This summer's fashion trend in swimsuit is less revealing for women and more revealing for men.

Online retailer AK Mall analyzed swimwear sales from April to June and found that one-piece swimsuits were popular among women and tight swimming trunks among men.

Sales of one-piece swimsuits increased 147 percent from a year ago, while sales of bikinis rose just nine percent.

Sales of three-piece sets comprising of bikinis and a swimming robe soared by 65 percent.

Gmarket also saw sales of one-piece swimsuits shoot up by 40 percent on-year over the last three months.

As for men, sales of short, tight swimming trunks went up 153 percent, while interest in longer, baggier trunks waned.
