The 48th San Francisco International Film Festival to invite 4 Korean cinemas.

The 48th San Francisco International Film Festival to be opened on April 21, invited a total of 4 Korean cinemas.

In its 'World Cinema' section, 'Low Life' by filmmaker Im Kwon-taek, 'Bin Jip - 3-Iron' by filmmaker Kim Ki-duk and so forth were invited and in its 'Midnight movies' section, omnibus cinema 'Three, Monster' in which Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook engaged, was invited.

On one hand, this Film Festival has selected black comedy 'The Ax' as its opening film.

In cinema 'Low Life', Tae-woong goes to a rival school to revenge his friend but only find himself being stabbed by Seung-moon on his way out. But ironically, Tae-woong ends up becoming adopted into Seung-moon's family after Seung-moon's father.

Park Il-won, took pity on him. In the meantime, Park Il-won, is running to win a seat as an independent lawmaker in the National Assembly. Cinema 'Low Life' has been invited to the official competition section of the 61th Venice International Film Festival too in 2004.
